Following a City of Edmonton analysis, the area located at 2303 199 Street NW has been rezoned from Agriculture Zone (AG) to Riverview Town Residential Zone (RTCR).
In response to concerns regarding potential building heights, we are happy to share that StreetSide will begin development on 2 and 3 storey Townhomes.
These Townhomes will follow the Farmhouse architectural style, and will feature bracket details, covered entries, and window grills.

K-9 Catholic School Coming to Rivers Edge
Design funding has been announced for a new Catholic K-9 school across Maskêkosihk Trail in Rivers Edge. Design funding means that the Catholic School Board can do all the necessary work required to prepare for future construction. More information will be shared as planning progresses.

The Government of Alberta, the City of Edmonton, and Enoch Cree Nation have partnered to create Big Island Provincial Park. Established in 2023, the 79 hectare park is located in Southwest Edmonton on the North Saskatchewan River. Just minutes away from The Uplands at Riverview, planning for land access is underway and the park can be accessed via the river in the meantime.

Maskêkosihk Trail opened in 2022 and provides improved access to the community for residents. The road connects Rivers Edge directly to Anthony Henday Drive giving residents comfortable connectivity to all the City has to offer. This 2-kilometre stretch of arterial road is the first major roadway in the City of Edmonton to be given a name in honour of the Cree First Nations. Maskêkosihk is pronounced as Muss-Kay-Go-Sik.
