APPROVED REZONING – 2303 199 Street NW

Following a City of Edmonton analysis, the area located at 2303 199 Street NW has been rezoned from Agriculture Zone (AG) to Riverview Town Residential Zone (RTCR) which allows:

  • A maximum building height of 50m (15 stories), or a maximum wood-framed building height of 6 stories.
  • At this time, there is no intention of exceeding a wood-frame structure (6 stories or less).

As design information becomes available, we will share an update.

K-9 Catholic School Coming to Rivers Edge

Design funding has been announced for a new Catholic K-9 school across Maskekosikh Trail in Rivers Edge. Design funding means that the Catholic School Board can do all the necessary work required to prepare for future construction. More information will be shared as planning progresses.

Maskêkosihk Trail is now open

Maskekosihk Trail opened in 2022 and provides improved access to the community for residents. The road connects Rivers Edge directly to Anthony Henday Drive giving residents comfortable connectivity to all the City has to offer. This 2-kilometre stretch of arterial road is the first major roadway in the City of Edmonton to be given a name in honour of the Cree First Nations. Maskêkosihk is pronounced as Muss-Kay-Go-Sik.
